As a senior mechanical engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing components and assemblies for biotech instruments. Document, procure, assemble and test assemblies to requirements. Perform mechanical analysis and communicate findings.The individual should be self-motivated, creative, proactive, and able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, diverse technologies and lab environment. The individual will work closely with other R&D software/FW developers, scientists, product and manufacturing engineers.

Education and minimum experience requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in new product development
• In-depth experience using Solid Works.
• In-depth knowledge of CFD and FEM-based simulation tools.
• Understanding of automation design.
• Understanding of requirements for designing parts for machining, casting and injection molding.

• Product Design, testing and release
• System reliability assessment and FMEA
• Perform thermal and structural simulations to drive product reliability improvements
• Close collaboration with electrical, SW/FW and manufacturing teams
